Another crude issue of an Alexandrian 12 nummi was sold by CNG (Electronic Auction 235, lot 534) as a coin struck by "Uncertain Germanic Tribes," but one wonders whether such coins might not be pseudo-Byzantine issues of the early Islamic period.
