VTG North Dakota Plate Vernon Kilns Souvenir Plate Blue Transferware 10.5" 1940s
If you ever lived in North Dakota, traveled through North Dakota, or collect souvenir plates, this is a perfect addition to your collection.  This vintage plate features North Dakota highlights:  a classic ND farm scene, the University of North Dakota, the state mill and elevator in Grand Forks, the state capital in Bismarck, Theodore Roosevelt's cain, the North Dakota badlands, and the original Hector Airport in Fargo.  Decorated with just the right amount of chaffs of wheat and prairie rose blossoms.  This plate comes all the way from an estate in Bismarck, ND.

About Vernon Kilns
Vernon Kilns was an American ceramic company in Vernon, California. In July 1931, Faye G. Bennison purchased the former Poxon China pottery renaming the company Vernon Kilns. Poxon China was located at 2300 East 52nd Street. Vernon produced ceramic tableware, art ware, giftware, and figurines. The company closed its doors in 1958.
Vernon Kilns was one of the "Big Five" California potteries. The other "Big Five" potteries were Metlox Manufacturing Company, Pacific Clay Products, Gladding, McBean & Co., and J.A. Bauer Pottery.
