VTG North Dakota Breadbasket of the World State Souvenir Cup & Saucer

If you have ever motored west through the upper part of the United States, you've probably driven through the expansive state of North Dakota. And if your family road trips were anything like ours, the car often did NOT stop at the roadside souvenir stores. This is your chance!
Bid on this vintage North Dakota cup and saucer with the decal proclaiming 'North Dakota Breadbasket of the World', along with various iconic images -- state flag, state flower, pheasant, the Badlands, Garrison Damn, the State Capital, and of course, cattle.
Fluted and gilded edge, this is probably from the 1950's/1950's when souvenir cup and saucers were all the rage.  The quality of glaze reflects a few manufacturing blips and the decal on close inspection has a few stray marks. There is a small chip on the edge that looks like my grandmother (where this came from) looks like she 'repaired' with a touch of ink at the chip. Adds to the charm.  She wrote in sharpie Riverdale, ND -- may (or may not) wash off -- not sure if this indicates where she bought it or where she got it as a gift. Priced accordingly.  Sold as is.
Saucer is 5 inches in diameter
Cup is 2-1/2 x 3 (w/o handle) in width
