    Hello there!
    You are bidding on a
    vintage
    198
    6 plastic cassette tray Teddy Ruxpin. Teddy's exterior is in great shape, the only issues being a corner of the plastic being chipped off on his back, and a small dot on his left foot. Battery compartment is very clean, no sign of corrosion anywhere. The wheel that turns teddy on & off is firmly in place. Teddy still plays tapes, although his eyes & mouth do not seem to work, and the tape playback seems to be a tad slow. I don't know much about the technical parts of a TR, but I suspect the belts may be wearing out. It's up to the buyer to decide if they want to fix him, use him for parts, or leave him as is. I've tested Teddy with several tapes, but sometimes he just won't play. I do not know the cause of this issue, it's possible the batteries just aren't lining up right.
