    Description

    DECO CELLULOID & AMBER BEAD NECKLACE
    The dangling necklace in ambers is made of
    early plastic beads.
    There are the
    amber-colored "faceted" beads
    , very large, and connector ones, that are frequent in the chain.   Then there are various stone-shaped and pearl-like celluloid beads, many of them  with light peach coloring.  Also the neckace has amber &
    iridescent rhinestone
    glass pieces.   Goldtone  "filigree"  hoods and donut-shaped beads add to this display.   While the necklace beads are strung, the dangling beads are connected by metal loops.  A hook secures the necklace to top metal connector loops.    The necklace measurement is about 24" and the bead dangles go about 3-4" below that.
    In
    good condition
    , the necklace has all of its beads.  I notice wearing to the edges of the plastic amber pieces in the dangling necklace, especially those two at the bottom.
    This is a showy piece, its celluloid beading and dangling style from the deco period, perhaps as early as the flapper or jazz age years!
