    Description

Up for auction is a stunning antique dark blue transferware plate manufactured in Staffordshire, England during the early 1800s.  The plate is in the Wild Rose pattern and it features a naturalistic scene of fishermen on a river. Overall it measures approximately 6 5/8" in diameter.
The overall condition of the plate is excellent.  It is extremely clean and has no chips, cracks, or repairs.  The white earthenware is still very bright and the blue color is deep with nice contrast. The glaze is glossy with fine consistent crazing and there are minimal scratches on the surface.  The plate displays extremely well and would be a nice addition to any collection or home!
