Royal Doulton England Grantham (D 5477) Sugar Bowl with Original Lid & 8 oz. Creamer Set
Offered is an original Royal Doulton England Grantham (D 5477) Sugar Bowl with Original Lid & 8 oz. Creamer Set.  The Grantham (D 5477) pattern was made 1934-1964 and features multicolor floral design (in the center) and scalloped triple dotted rim on glossy cream Royal Doulton Fine Earthenware.  As shown in the photographs, both the Sugar Bowl & Creamer have the Grantham floral design on the front & back with embossed scallops; the triple dotted design & florals; and green & yellow trim.  The Sugar Bowl measures 6 1/4" long (from tip of handle to tip of handle); 3 1/2" wide (at the widest spot); 4" tall (to the top of the Lid); & 3" tall (at the tallest spot without the Lid) - the Creamer holds 8 oz. (which equals 1 cup) of liquid and measures 3 3/4" tall (at the tallest spot) & 3" wide (at the widest spot).
The bottom of the Sugar Bowl and Creamer is marked as shown in the 4th, 5th, & 6th photographs with the brown printed [LION ON CROWN] ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND MADE IN ENGLAND GRANTHAM D 5477 mark - the Sugar Bowl also has a brown printed 3 as well as a green decorator's mark (photo 5) - the Creamer also has a green decorator's mark (photo 6).
As noted above, t
his Sugar Bowl with Original Lid & Creamer Set has No Chips or Cracks.  The Sugar Bowl's Lid has overall underglaze crazing and the Creamer has a few lines of underglaze crazing.  Very Glossy Cream with Well Defined Embossed Scallops and Bright & Colorful Grantham Designs & Trim.  The bottom unglazed rims have a little wear.
