Description
Up for sale is an 19th century early transferware sugar bowl recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. Staffordshire pearlware style porcelain. Wonderful blue transfer of children milking a goat. OFFERED AS FOUND with a chip, roughness, common crazing, stains, and a lid we believe is a marriage from a matching teapot. At auction it was such a good fit we didn't think it a marriage at the time, but there is a slight play and the transfer seems different. But a great look, nice marriage, good fit but not perfect. Just love the unusual transfer of the girl milking, girl drinking the milk and mother looking on. Unusual for now but commonplace in 19th century. Please see photos for limitations and wonderful transfer. Lovely find.Best of luck in bidding.
