    Description

1870-S  PCGS  AU58   Double Eagle Liberty Coronet Type 2
Great eye appeal.  Almost MS.  Very sharp.  Very good details, very good color, very good luster.  Truly a beautiful coin.  Presents itself even much better than how it is captured it in photos above.  I cherry-pick my coins.
A bit of an elusive coin, and only 125 graded higher.
Next grade jumps to 50, but you would hardly find one selling at book price.
This listing has 2 part description: the pictures and the PCGS grading certification.  Item pictured is the actual item for sale.
All sales final.  Return not accepted.
Since this is a PCGS certified coin, there is no misrepresentation here.  PCGS guarantees and stands by their certification.  You may check PCGS website for more info and updates, and for verification of this coin certification.

Gold is a proven hedge against inflation.  These rare graded gold coins are the better, if not the best, option to invest in gold.
These historical rare coins make a good collection too.
Own a piece of history.  These gold coins are over 165 years old and will just get more and more valuable in time.  Each day, even the raw or lower grade Double Eagle gold coins are now distancing its value from spot gold price.
A gold coin will beat a gold bullion anytime ~ has rarity, numismatic, historical and collectible value, that increases more in value over time.  It has more appreciation value.
A graded slabbed gold coin will beat a raw gold coin anytime ~ insures authenticity, preserves its condition, and distinguish from any unknown/poor state of a coin.
A PCGS certification will beat another grading anytime ~ most widely accepted and known for having the strictest grading standard.
