    Description

1866-S Motto XF45 PCGS  Double Eagle Liberty Coronet
Tough date. Low pop. Decent sample of 1866-S XF45.  Good details.  Original skin.  Eye-clean.  Good color with hints of luster.  No dark spots, no deep scratches.  Presents itself better than how it is captured in photos above!
Remember that you are looking at the coin at high magnification.  The coin looks much better from hand to eye distance in person.

Gold is a proven hedge against inflation.  These graded coins are the better, if not the best, option to invest in gold.  These historical rare coins make a good collection too.  Own a piece of history.  These coins are over 100 years old and will just get more and more valuable in time.  Each day, even the raw or lower grade Liberty coins are now distancing its value from spot gold price.
A gold coin will beat a gold bullion anytime ~ has rarity, historical and collectible value, that increases over time.  It has more appreciation value.
A graded slabbed gold coin will beat a raw gold coin anytime ~ insures authenticity, preserves its condition, and distinguish from any unknown/poor state of a coin.
A PCGS certification will beat another grading anytime ~ most widely accepted and known for having the strictest grading standard.
