Description
1865-S PCGS Genuine AU Detail Cleaned Double Eagle Liberty Coronet Type 1Very nice AU details! Beautiful coin. Very nice. Great eye appeal. Eye-clean. Nice color. Lustrous, no dark spots, no deep scratches. Very good details.
If you look closely, in my opinion, this coin has strong AU55 details. Priced as if it is XF. You can't tell it's cleaned. It is not dull nor pale in color nor artificially lustrous like some cleaned coins. Also, PCGS marks if the coin is improperly cleaned - this is not marked improperly cleaned. Presents itself even much better than how it is captured it
in photos above. Still a cherry-picked coin.

Gold is a proven hedge against inflation. These rare graded gold coins are the better, if not the best, option to invest in gold.
These historical rare coins make a good collection too.
Own a piece of history. These gold coins are over 165 years old and will just get more and more valuable in time. Each day, even the raw or lower grade Double Eagle gold coins are now distancing its value from spot gold price.
A gold coin will beat a gold bullion anytime ~ has rarity, numismatic, historical and collectible value, that increases over time. It has more appreciation value.
A graded slabbed gold coin will beat a raw gold coin anytime ~ insures authenticity, preserves its condition, and distinguish from any unknown/poor state of a coin.
A PCGS certification will beat another grading anytime ~ most widely accepted and known for having the strictest grading standard.
