    Description

1864-S  NGC  XF45   Double Eagle Liberty Coronet Type 1
Popular and rare Civil War coin!  Tough date.  Desirable San Francisco mint.
Decent sample of XF45 for 1864-S.  It is nicely struck and still has good decent appeal with its nice original skin.  It also has good details on both the obverse and reverse with hints of luster.  No heavy dark spots, no deep scratches.  Presents itself better than how it is captured in the photos above.
This listing has 2 part description: the pictures and the NGC grading certification.
All sales final.  Return not accepted.
Item pictured is the actual item for sale.  Since this is a NGC certified coin, there is no misrepresentation here.

Gold is a proven hedge against inflation.  These rare graded gold coins are the better, if not the best, option to invest in gold.
These historical rare coins make a good collection too.
Own a piece of history.  These gold coins are over 160 years old and will just get more and more valuable in time.  Each day, even the raw or lower grade Double Eagle gold coins are now distancing its value from spot gold price.
A gold coin will beat a gold bullion anytime ~ has rarity, numismatic, historical and collectible value, that increases over time.  It has more appreciation value.
A graded slabbed gold coin will beat a raw gold coin anytime ~ insures authenticity, preserves its condition, and distinguish from any unknown/poor state of a coin.
NGC is one of the top two coin grading and certification companies that is widely accepted and known for having the strictest grading standard.
